More Mykonos

There are policemen in Mykonos! I saw one car.
It's my last night here on this island & what a great time I've had. It's so easy to just go up to people and talk but really strange because you're in bathers. I've barely had to wash any clothes because you just put your bathers on and hang around in them all day, even in the cafes & restaurants! Tonight I joined strangers at their outdoor dinner table because I wanted to sit outside but there were no tables left. One guy from Milan knew Melbourne Mayor John So & helped design Piazza Italia (near lygon st). He says John So has a cool reputation in Milan!?
Tonight I found the main village centre. It only took me 4 nights! I'm so glad I found it because my impression of Mykonos has changed dramatically now. Originally, I figured it to be similar to how you'd imagine the mountain desert land of Afghanistan to be, with all the rocks! And the occasional little white upside-down ice-cream tub house. But now that I've seen the part with actual civilisation & the glittering lights on the port & water front restaurants, I'm alot more impressed & can see why it's so popular. There are so many jewellery shops. I've just decided to buy nothing now because there is so much range to choose from. I'm so lucky that I only discovered these shops until now. I was standing outside a jewellery shop window ogling an enormous gold necklace masterpiece & the owner/creator came out and told me "40 thousand euro". I went inside! I am so lucky to be leaving tomorrow because the man was going to create a ring for me & needed afew days to make it. In my head I could see the bank taking my house......
