Barcelona
Classic Gaudi mosaic.
Smurf house! Parc Guell.

I am in Barcelona now! My friend Joanna who lived at Whitley College with me now lives right in the heart of the city. It´s great having a nice apartment and the luxury of being able to throw toilet paper in the toilet again. I really missed it! I´ve done a very leisurely tour of Barcelona over the days (because I´m here for so long). My first trip was to the Gaudi casa-museum at Parc Guell. The park was absolutely amazing with tile mosaics & crazy curvey shaped structures everywhere. Everything there was so impressive! I walked back into the city (it was a long walk!) and saw most of the famous buildings designed by Gaudi. They were completely insane. Like out of topsy-turvey land or something. The buildings in the city were completely random. Some were ornamental style dolls houses but with a crazy roof! Mad!
I am pleased to announce that I got to see the Picasso exhibition!! The reason the museum in Antibes was closed for the year was because all of the works were being loaned to the Picasso museum in Barcelona (not Melbourne). So I got to see 2 shows for the price of 1. Bonus! And of course that meant another book! I have since posted (or shipped - not sure what I agreed to as I just nodded to whatever Spanish was being said to me & handed over the money) all of the books back to Oz so I no longer have to lug them around. It was a great day!
